Insignis Partners, an investment and real estate development firm based in Greenville, announced Sept. 15 it filed plans with the city of Kings Mountain to rezone 384 acres.
The property on Interstate 85 near Dixon School Road will serve as home to Dixon Ridge Corporate Center, a project with a mix of industrial, research and development, and residential space. The project’s plans include five million square feet of new buildings as well as over 57 acres of:
- Open space
- Pickleball and tennis courts
- Parks and walking trails
- Greenway trail system for pedestrians and bicyclists that will connect to nearby city-owned lake properties
“We’re excited to introduce Dixon Ridge to the Kings Mountain, North Carolina market,” said Paul Sparks, managing partner and co-founder of Insignis. “Submitting our application for this project is such a significant step forward for something that’s taken us 18 months to create and fine tune. And now, everything becomes a lot more real, which is exciting.”
The rezoning and development agreement is expected to unfold over the next several months. Once complete, Dixon Ridge Corporate Center is expected to exceed $750 million in value.
