Representatives from Milo’s Tea Company, Gov. Henry McMaster, Deputy Secretary of Commerce Ashely Teasdel, Spartanburg County Council Vice-Chairman David Britt and other elected officials and local leaders gathered together to break ground on the beverage business’s future manufacturing and distribution facility in Moore.
The Alabama-based beverage company will invest more than $130 million to build a 110,000 square-foot facility at the corner of U.S. Highway 290 and U.S. Highway 221. The investment is expected to create more than 100 jobs.
“This is a very special day for us at Milo’s,” said Tricia Wallwork, CEO and chair of Milo’s Tea Company and granddaughter of founder Milo Carlton. “Our company has been working hard to expand to meet the growing demand of our customers along the east coast. South Carolina is clearly a perfect fit for our next chapter of growth. We are so grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received, and can’t wait to get to work here in Spartanburg County advancing our people first culture and investing in this community.”
The Spartanburg County facility is expected to open by fall 2024. For more information, visit drinkmilos.com.
