Greif, an industrial packaging products and services provider based in Ohio, will invest $13 million over the next five years to expand its operations in Taylors, Gov. Henry McMaster and the S.C. Department of Commerce announced Aug. 3.
The company plans to upgrade a facility at 873 Alexander Road to establish a paper mill and expand its production of spiral tubes and cores, which are made of recycled paperboard.
“We are excited to offer increased capabilities within our Taylors facility,” said Greif Paper Packaging Group President Tim Bergwall. “Greif’s investment in South Carolina enables us to support our tube and core plants and our customers’ growth in this thriving region of the country.”
Greif’s Greenville expansion is expected to be complete in November.
