Just more than two years since it was first announced, The Mill at Fountain Inn opened June 3.
The team hosted a sneak peek of the soon-to-open development the week prior to its opening. The preview, held May 30, gave friends and family a look at the site and offered a traverse for the taste buds into Fountain Inn Brewing Co.’s bites and brews. The menu spotlights pizza with hand-tossed crust that is thinner but not flat for an initial crunch that’s followed by a soft, doughy consistency.
The vision dates to 2020 for Bryan Beal, chief executive officer of Innovative Hospitality & Development, who wanted the development to represent downtown Fountain Inn and serve as a hub for the city.
The hub broke ground in February 2023, refurbishing three historic structures. The Mill at Fountain Inn includes the brewery, a common area and a food hall along with a substantial green space behind the buildings. A large video screen will be added accompanied by additional seating.
