Lonza, a Switzerland-based company that produces empty capsules and finished dosage forms for the global biopharma and consumer health and nutrition markets, plans to add 50,000 square feet of space to its production facility in Greenwood County.
The $46 million expansion of the facility, which is located at 535 North Emerald Road in Greenwood, is expected to create 30 new jobs over the next five years, according to a press release from the S.C. Department of Commerce.
Construction is expected to be finished in the second quarter of 2019. Lonza plans to hire for the new positions starting in mid-2018, according to the release. Interested applicants should visit the company’s careers page at https://bit.ly/2rkIA54.
