Ten at the Top (TATT), a collaborative effort that addresses key issues in the Upstate, was recently recognized for improving the quality of life in S.C.
The state chapter of the American Planning Association (SCAPA) selected TATT as the 2018 Outstanding Planning Advocate.
The SCAPA Planning Awards are presented to those who have contributed to the advancement of the art and science of planning in the state. Through the efforts of these plans, projects, organizations, and individuals, life for the people of S.C. has improved.
“Planning professionals play a vital role in shaping our communities and Ten at the Top is pleased to be able to provide opportunities for discussion and collaboration around issues that are impacting how we are growing as a region,” TATT executive director Dean Hybl said in the release.
Over the past six years, TATT has brought together local government and private planners to make the Upstate Professional Planners Group.
Some of the group’s projects include an Upstate Planners tool kit, reviewing all county comprehensive plans, serving as the technical committee for the Shaping Our Future and Connecting Our Future regional initiatives.
