RBC Aerostructures, which provides control rods and precision machined parts to aerospace and defense companies, is expanding its operations in Oconee County, according to the S.C. Department of Commerce.

Located at 123 Commerce Way in Westminster, the company plans to expand its existing manufacturing facility by 13,500 square feet. It also plans to add new equipment. The $3.8 million investment is expected to create 22 new jobs over the next five years.

We expect to triple our base business over the next five years and continue to be a contributor to the growth of the South Carolina economy,” said Stan Griffis, RBC Aerostructures director of operations, in a news release.

RBC Aerostructures is an international manufacturer and marketer of control rods, swaged tubes, and precision-machined parts integral to the operation of fixed and rotary-winged aircraft systems. Its parent company, RBC Bearings Inc., has 36 manufacturing facilities in six countries, according to the release.
