A new product line at a Schneider Electric plant in Seneca will involve 56 new jobs, according to a news release from the state Commerce Department.
Hiring is expected to begin in the next few months, and the new product line is scheduled to launch by the third quarter, according to the news release.
The 334,000-square-foot plant makes motor control centers and enclosed drives and starters.
Richard Blackwell, Oconee County’s economic development director, said the expansion not only brings new jobs but a new product line “that will provide a steady stream of business to this custom motor control production facility.”
