SCBIO honored three life sciences leaders and one organization at its 2022 Life Sciences Conference in late February.
The honorees were:
- Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) – Life Sciences Organization of the Year
- Linda Bell, South Carolina state epidemiologist from SC DHEC – Individual Contributor of the Year
- Martine LaBerge of Clemson University – Life Sciences Hall of Fame
- Ashley Daugherty of Nephron Pharmaceuticals – Rising Star
This year’s conference, held Feb. 22-24 in Charleston, had over 500 attendees from throughout South Carolina, as well as 26 states and six countries.
Greenville-based SCBIO is a statewide, not-for-profit, public/private life sciences industry association and economic development organization.
