Methodical Coffee is currently remodeling its location at The Commons to enlarge the kitchen and provide more seating for customers.
Marco Suarez, co-owner of Methodical Coffee, said in an email with the Journal that the new expansion is planned to be ready by the end of May.

After outgrowing its roasting production space at The Commons, Methodical Coffee decided to move its production to a new location in January 2023, Suarez explained.
“So with that project complete, we then turned to figuring out what to do with our old roasting space at the Commons,” Suarez said. “Being that The Commons is a busy food hall, it can be difficult to find a quiet table for a private conversation so we designed our seating area to provide some nooks for those that want something quiet.”
The expanded kitchen will also allow customers to observe the preparation of the pastries and breakfast items at Methodical.
“Our desire is for Methodical to be known for well-prepared pastries and breakfast fare as well as coffee and tea,” Suarez said.
