The Irish Pub, a private club popular for its pub food, soccer viewing parties and sand volleyball, will close its doors for the coming weeks as the eatery rebrands into a public venue.
During the closure, volleyball leagues will continue Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and the kitchen will also be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on those evenings. No alcohol will be served, however.

The establishment, located at 214 N. Pleasantburg Drive, made the announcement Aug. 23 on social media.
“We will be closed for the next couple of weeks while we switch from private club to public which should take about a month,” the announcement said. “We will be using this time to also do some renovations.”
