Books for Less, a wholesale book distributor based in Bridgeton, New Jersey, will invest $3.9 million to open a new warehouse distribution center in Westminster, the company announced Sept. 25.
The investment in a 190,000-square-foot facility at 100 Dunlop Drive is expected to create 20 jobs.
“Books for Less is looking forward to opening our new facility in Oconee County,” said Books for Less President Michael Shmuely. “The building we have purchased is ideal for our operation and will allow us to expand in the future. The location allows us to meet needs of our growing customer base and the workforce is well-suited for our operation. We greatly appreciate the support we have received from Oconee County and the State of South Carolina in helping to facilitate our project.”
Operations at the Westminster facility are expected to be online in the first quarter of 2024. Books for Less also operates a warehouse distribution facility north of Easley, near the intersection of Dacusville Highway and Farrs Bridge Road.
