Encore Bank, a private, commercial bank, recently signed a lease agreement for a new branch location in Greenville.
The bank will occupy the first floor of 18. S. Markley St. in the West End historic district. The 3,500 square feet of office space is owned by Northside Traders LLC.
“Being in downtown Greenville was a critical factor in the selection of this location,” said Michael Sharpton, the organization’s regional president for North and South Carolina. “The growth and excitement of downtown Greenville is something we wanted to be a part of from the beginning.”
Renovations to the building’s interior have already started. Encore Bank hopes to open its new location by the end of 2023.
The organization first announced its expansion to Greenville in 2022. Encore Bank is currently operating in 21 markets across eight states.
