Expandable LLC, an expandable, movable pods and trailers supplier based in the Netherlands, will invest $3 million to establish its first North American operations in Piedmont, the company announced May 29.
The investment is expected to create 10 jobs at Expandable’s 40,000-square-foot facility at 7120 Augusta Road.
“Greenville was the perfect location for our first foreign expansion,” said Expandable Managing Director Sander Scholten. “The North American market has been an important growth area for us over the past few years, so we needed to establish a local presence. With its strategic location, infrastructure and available talent pool, this is the place where we wanted to be.”
Operations at Expandable’s Greenville County facility are online. The building houses a warehouse and showroom and serves as the company’s head office for North American sales and service.
