Autokiniton recently expanded and renovated its manufacturing plant in Fountain Inn. The facility enhancements were completed by Trehel, a Greenville-based general contractor, on behalf of Autokinton and the facility’s owner, STAG Industrial.
Renovations included adding 40,000 square feet of storage space incorporating precast exterior panels with a structural steel framework. The other facility enhancements completed during the project consisted of:
- Adding a 14,000-square-foot tool and die storage area
- Completing heavy-duty paving to extend the trailer parking lot
- Adding a first-aid room
- Installing an early-suppression, fast-response sprinkler system
Autokiniton’s facility at 141 Southchase Blvd. produces 2,100 floor pans daily for the BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in Spartanburg County.
Greenville Pro Soccer breaks ground on multipurpose stadium in Mauldin
Greenville Pro Soccer LLC recently broke ground on its new multipurpose stadium at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin.
The event was attended by community leaders, representatives from Greenville Pro Soccer and Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho, a member of the Greenville Pro Soccer ownership group. Greenville Pro Soccer is the parent company of the Greenville Triumph SC and Greenville Liberty.
Designs for the project have not been finalized. The overall cost for the new stadium is estimated to be between $80 million and $100 million. The stadium is a collaborative effort between Greenville Pro Soccer, South Carolina, Mauldin and Hughes Investments.
The stadium is expected to open in 2026.
Prisma Health Family YMCA expanding
YMCA of Greenville is completing a multiphase facility expansion at the Prisma Health Family YMCA in Simpsonville.
A groundbreaking for the project was held March 11. The project’s initial phase will add 14,500 square feet to the campus located at 550 Brookwood Point Place. The addition will include a new gymnasium, three classrooms, a dedicated drop-off circle, staff offices, a conference room and more.
The first phase will cost $5.5 million and is expected to take nine months to complete. Phase 2 of the expansion will follow, adding additional parking, a second pool with a DynaDome cover and other land development needs to prepare for future campus additions.
