If you haven’t been to Haywood Mall recently, here’s a heads-up on recent changes.
The shopping center on Haywood Road said goodbye to retailers Plum, Williams-Sonoma and Lady Foot Locker. New to the mall is Battlestar, an air-soft shooting gallery that first opened on the upper level but has since moved to the mall’s lower level near Dillard’s, and Cotton On, a clothing store headquartered in Australia.
Other new additions coming are two new restaurants and four new stores, including:
- Mochimee — a new restaurant concept
- Video Game World — a store specializing in retro video games
- Tempur-Pedic — a mattress and pillow store
- Mrs. Fields — a gourmet, fresh-baked cookie shop
- Texas de Brazil Churrascaria — a Brazilian steakhouse brand
- Garage — a young women’s clothing store
One of the first businesses slated to join Haywood Mall’s roster of stores and restaurants is Mochimee, which is expected to open in mid-April 2023 in the former Koi Asian Bistro space at the entrance of the mall’s food court.
The restaurant will serve doughnuts, boba tea, waffle pops and hot dogs.
Also opening this spring is Video Game World, which will occupy the former Torrid space across from Hot Topic.
Tempur-Pedic is slated to open in summer 2023, and will take over part of the former Williams-Sonoma space on the first floor.
Heading into the fall, the mall expects to welcome Mrs. Fields in an unannounced location. Once open, customers will be able to buy and order items such as cookie cakes, gourmet cookies and brownies.
Texas de Brazil and Garage will both open late 2023.
Texas de Brazil will occupy the former Saltwater Kitchen location and serve a variety of seasoned meat cooked over a wood charcoal fire, including:
- Beef
- Lamb
- Pork
- Chicken
- Brazilian sausage
The restaurant will also offer a 50-item salad bar and wine list, as well as a la carte dessert selections.
Garage will be located beside Macy’s on Haywood Mall’s upper level.
