At its Healthy Workplace conference and cocktail reception at Greenville’s TD Center Thursday afternoon, LiveWell Greenville handed out its third annual set of Healthy Workplace awards, honoring a dozen local companies for their employee wellness initiatives.
Workplace wellness programs can decrease health care costs, increase productivity, reduce absenteeism and boost employee morale, according to LiveWell Greenville’s At Work group. Companies may see as much as more than $3 saved for every $1 invested in a wellness program, the group says.
