Greer’s Harvest Kitchen will close its dining room and focus on catering.
The business, which opened in 2021, cited rising costs as its reason for closure in July 16 social media post.
“Like many restaurants, we have been fighting an uphill battle with rising cost on…. everything! Because we opened on a mission to serve healthy, minimally processed food that is GF (gluten-free) and allergy friendly our food costs have increased drastically. The solution to combat that and all other rising costs to operate our concept is to increase our menu prices substantially. The problem is that goes against our mission to ‘connect people with healthy eating.’ If people can’t afford us, they won’t be able to eat with us. We refuse to lower our food standard so at the end of the day, we are bleeding out money,” the post said.
Its menu is centered on gluten-free cuisine and vegan-friendly cuisine. The business will now focus on catering and offer classes, according to the post.
It will remain open for three more weeks but an exact date for closing was not given. The owners could not immediately be reached for comment.
