The Greenville Chamber has selected its 50th Leadership Greenville class.
The 10-month program, started in 1973, is “designed to inform and prepare qualified leaders for Greenville County,” according to the chamber. Participants are selected after an application process based on essays, resume and community involvement.
More than 2,000 local leaders have participated since the program’s inception.
“Our hope is that, like thousands of Leadership Greenville alumni before them, Class 50 will develop leadership skills and relationships that will last a lifetime in service to our wonderful Upstate community,” said Cheryl Garrison, executive director of the Greenville Chamber Foundation.
To celebrate the anniversary, the class will include a series of service events and celebrations. The presenting sponsor for the 50th class is USC Upstate.
