Steve Olson, a Greenville-based executive and career strategist, is the new owner of Golden Career Strategies. The company was previously owned by Myles Golden, who died in February at age 76.
“Myles would be so pleased to know that a person of high ethical standards and extensive business experience like Steve will be taking Golden Career Strategies and its clients into the future,” says Ann Golden, former president of GCS and widow of Myles Golden, in a statement.
Golden Career Strategies is a career transition and coaching practice that helps organizations with outplacement services, as well as assisting individual clients in creating and achieving their personal and career goals.
A Simpsonville resident, Olson previously served as a coach at Transitions — Business & Life Coaching in Greenville, and as general manager of South Carolina operations at Lacks Trim Systems. He is also an ordained deacon in the Catholic Church.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to carry the tradition of this important client-focused service into the future,” he said.
