Brenda J. Thames has been appointed to the Hollingsworth Funds board of directors. Thames serves as executive vice president and provost of Prisma Health-Upstate Health Sciences Center.
In her board role, she will add perspective on collaborative efforts aimed at increasing economic mobility. Thames has served with Prisma Health, formerly Greenville Health System, since 2007. There, she provides executive leadership for academics at the hospital and its shared Academic Health Center.
Thames received a Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University, a master’s degree from Clemson University, and a doctorate degree from Clemson University.
