VisitGreenvilleSC adds another award to its collection for their “yeahTHATgreenville” brand.
The U.S. Travel Association announced the recipients of the 2017 Mercury and Destiny Awards during its 34th Annual ESTO conference. VisitGreenvilleSC won a coveted Destiny Award in the category of Printed Collateral Materials, and took the title for Best Visitors Guide in the Country.
This marks the 36th award won by VisitGreenvilleSC for their very well known “yeahTHATgreenville” brand. The judging panel came included business leaders from JP Morgan Chase and Co. and Hilton Hotels and Resorts, and they selected a total of 25 winners for these two award programs.
The judges commented, “This is an exceptionally strategic approach to leveraging a visitor’s guide as part of a larger ‘lead gen’ program. The guide isn’t simply another ‘campaign’ but a strategic part of a larger initiative to identify and convert key potential visitors. The editorial coverage, layout, look, and feel – great paper choice – sets this apart from the rest. You can really feel the love and passion the local team put into crafting this piece.”
The team at VisitGreenvilleSC had help creating the piece from their publishing partner Community Journals, the parent company of Greenville Journals.
Jennifer Stilwell, EVP/chief strategic officer of VisitGreenvilleSC said, “This award represents another win for excellence in destination marketing. Best in Class doesn’t come easy. It takes passion, talent, expertise and strategic partnerships to produce brilliant, performance-driven work.”
