Charlotte-based Aston Properties is expanding its Greenville footprint with a majority ownership stake in The Commons, the company announced Sept. 19.
The popular food hall and gathering spot at Unity Park recently launched its Phase II expansion and joins Aston’s portfolio of several notable high-traffic shopping centers in the Greenville area, which include McBee Station, North Hills Shopping Center and Verdae Village.
The Commons will celebrate its fifth anniversary in November, and four of the seven new tenants in the Phase II expansion are open, including LaRue Fine Chocolates, Indigo Kitchen, MooHogz Craft BBQ and Kuka Juice.
The remaining three will debut this fall alongside Prisma Health’s Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital Community Health and Wellness Space.
The partnership stake in one of Greenville’s most popular gathering spots aligns with Aston’s vision of creating dynamic spaces that bring people together, said Barnes Connell, the company’s managing director, in the announcement.
