Big news from The Greenville Beer Exchange at 7 S. Laurens St.
The shop recently got its license to serve beer on-premises, and it just added an old-school, stand-up arcade game to enhance the experience.
“Who doesn’t want to have a nice craft beer and play some nostalgic video games?” owner Devin Cox said.

The shop is now offering pints and half pints of all 16 of their rotating draft beers for purchase, while any bottle or can from the cooler can be opened in the store for an additional $1-2 charge.
Cox said he bought the old-school arcade game off Craigslist. The seller restored the outside and then updated the computer inside with thousands of games ranging from classic arcade titles to popular console games for Nintendo and Sega Genesis. It plays great and has been a hit in the shop so far, he said. Cox also said he added two tables with chairs, plus board games to the entertainment options.
“Just trying to take what we do here and make it better,” he said.
