The Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday the launch of its “Love Where You Live” gift card program in celebration of Small Business Week. Presented by SunTrust, the program seeks to encourage Spartanburg residents and visitors to support local businesses by keeping their dollars in the community.
“The Chamber is committed to delivering a measurable return on each member’s investment,” said Allen Smith, president and CEO of the Spartanburg Chamber, in a statement. “This program gives us the opportunity to directly send cash to our members, which is important to supporting our local economy.”
According to the chamber, “Love Where You Live” cards can be purchased and redeemed at participating businesses. The cards are preloaded just like a gift card and can be used at any of the chamber’s member businesses that accept Discover cards.
“Love Where You Live” is a grassroots campaign created in 2014 to promote Spartanburg’s economy and support the county’s business, nonprofit and government organizations.
The cards are available in $25 increments and can also be purchased at the chamber’s headquarters at 105 N. Pine St. near downtown Spartanburg.
