OTO Development, a hotel development and hospitality management company based in Spartanburg, announced Nov. 3 it acquired three hotels in Oakhurst, California, near Yosemite National Park.
“More than 4.5 million people come to Yosemite National Park in a typical year and we’re delighted to now count ourselves among them,” said OTO Development CEO Corry Oakes. “This dynamic market has so much to offer, from outdoor adventures to arts and culture to historical interests and more.”

The properties were acquired from a family of independent hoteliers. These hotels, which are located 13 miles from Yosemite’s South Gate, include:
- Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Oakhurst Yosemite
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oakhurst-Yosemite Park Area
- Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite, which is under construction.
OTO’s new acquisitions are four stories each and have a combined 337 guest rooms and a total of 183,150 square feet. Each property has an exercise room, pool and business center.
In addition, OTO will complete upgrades to the properties, such as replacing four rooms with added meeting space, expanded F&B offerings and enhanced back-of-the-house. The company is also planning a shared pool amenity.
These three hotels join OTO’s portfolio, which includes properties in Marathon, Cocoa Beach and St. Pete Beach, Florida; Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
