The European-influenced gastropub Perch is closing its doors, with last call Saturday, Aug. 5.
The owners of the restaurant and bar, located at 1501 E. North St. in Overbrook Village, made the announcement on social media.
“We have made the tough decision to close our wonderful pub,” they wrote.
“This choice hasn’t come based on one factor, it’s just simply this part of the business that we all never see coming. From the bottom of our flocking hearts we thank each and everyone who has blessed us with your time, stories, laughter and presence in our little pocket space. What you have brought into our lives will not be forgotten.”
Perch began as the brain child of the team behind Birds Fly South Ale Project and was envisioned as a family-friendly restaurant with a focus on fast-casual cuisine, beer and a uniquely European vibe.

“The goal of opening Perch is to provide a family focused, community inspired location that will provide European food in a fast-casual experience,” said Birds Fly South owner Shawn Johnson in the lead-up to the pub’s opening.
