Greenville Transit Authority property in downtown Greenville is going back on the market.
Parkway Corp., a Philadelphia-based real estate and parking development firm, has backed out of the sale of the 2.93-acre property on Augusta Street near Fluor Field. The firm placed the only bid for the property at $10.7 million in November 2023.
Beth Brotherton, the city’s spokesperson, said Parkway exercised the termination clause in the purchase and sale agreement for the property.
“GTA will put the property back on the market in the coming weeks,” Brotherton said.
The property’s appraised value equals $10.4 million. Greenlink’s maintenance facility currently resides on the site and will be moving to a new building at 205 Arcadia Drive. Construction of the new facility is on schedule for a summer move in, Brotherton said.
