Clare’s Creamery, a small-batch, handmade ice cream business that launched in 2020, has opened a new location in The Commons at 147 Wellborn St. in Greenville’s Southernside community.
The new location will occupy the same space currently occupied by Bake Room, the artisanal bakery that is open Thursday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The bakery is not going anywhere, however, as Clare’s Creamery will only operate in the afternoon and evening hours when Bake Room is closed.
The announcement was made June 14 via The Commons’ Facebook page. The hours of the new location are 4-9 p.m., seven days a week.
Clare’s Creamery started in 2020 as a mobile ice cream cart operating in downtown Greenville before settling in its first brick-and-mortar location at 1635 E. North St.
