OTO Development, a hotel development and hospitality management company based in Spartanburg, acquired the DoubleTree by Hilton in North Redington Beach, Florida, for an undisclosed sum, the organization announced July 18.
The seven-story, 125-room hotel features:
- Beach views from most guest rooms.
- Veranda.
- Tiki hut adjacent to an outdoor pool.
- A 1,272-square-foot meeting room.
“We are so intrigued by this DoubleTree, which has long been loved for its ideal location and resort-style amenities,” said OTO Development CEO Corry Oakes. “There’s incredible opportunity in combining an individual hotel’s attributes with our company’s scaled operational efficiencies.”
In late summer 2023, OTO plans to start a renovation, which will include:
- Refreshing all common spaces.
- Aesthetic updates and bath upgrades in guest rooms.
- Enhancements to the exterior.
The hotel will remain open during renovations and, upon completion, will continue under the DoubleTree by Hilton flag.
This property is the 10th oceanfront property OTO has purchased since the fourth quarter of 2018 and one of seven along the coastlines of Florida.
OTO’s portfolio includes hotels in the Floridian cities of Key West, Marathon, Panama City Beach, St. Pete Beach, Fort Walton Beach and Cocoa Beach; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina; and Ocean City, Maryland. For more information, visit otodevelopment.com.
