Tasty As Fit, a “grab-n-go” restaurant with a focus on healthy options, announced Thursday it would be closing its doors on Oct. 7 due to labor shortages.
Owner Emilie Blanchard said that although Greenville has been welcoming and the shop performed well since the restaurant opened at 3017 Augusta Road at the start of 2021, Blanchard’s sister, who runs the store, will be getting married and moving in October.
After interviewing and training five candidates in the past seven months, the restaurant was unable to find a match due to the job being “labor-intensive” as the menu changes every week.

Blanchard called the decision was one of the most difficult she’s ever had to make.
“I’m so, so sorry to take this out of the community,” said said, noting that the demand from Greenville was high.

The restaurant’s flagship location in Columbia will stay open and is starting some wholesaling.
