Prosper, an executive office space, has opened in the former McBride’s Office Supply building in Greenville.
The 7,000-square-foot office redevelopment project by Franklin Real Estate Development at 832 Wade Hampton Blvd. allows business and medical professionals to rent one of 25 acoustically insulated office spaces, ranging from 75 to 138 square feet.
Prosper’s executive office space features:
- Shared conference room on each of the building’s two levels
- Break rooms
- Shared waiting areas
Each lease includes:
- Utilities
- Fiber-optic internet service
- Printer and copier access
- Cleaning services
“The trend in leasable office space has been co-working space which is more of an open office environment,” said project developer and broker Kurt Wallenborn. “Prosper offers executive office space where we’ve thought about those who wish to collaborate but have a need to have private conversations. Most offices don’t have that.”

While the building has been upgraded, Wallenborn preserved original features such as:
- Breezeblock and double front doors
- Terrazzo floors
- Several wooden roll-out windows
He also mimicked the individual rectangular letters that spelled “McBride’s” using similar-styled letters to spell “Prosper.”
With the renovation completed, Wallenborn has applied to have the structure added to the National Register of Historic Places.
