Gaffney Bakery LLC and its partners will invest $96 million to establish operations in Gaffney, the company announced June 7.
The company plans to purchase and renovate the Ace Bakery building at 131 Corporate Drive. Once open, the facility will be used to manufacture frozen bakery products and employ more than 260 people.
“I thank Gaffney Bakery, LLC for committing to South Carolina and helping further grow our thriving agribusiness industry,” said South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers. “This announcement is a testament to our state’s status as a great place for agribusiness.”
