Harry’s Hoagie’s Shoppe announced on its social media it will temporarily close Aug. 1 to make room for Mike’s Cheesesteaks, which will move into the shop on East North Street.
“We’re relocating Harry’s big brother Mike out of Gather GVL and over here to the Overbrook neighborhood next week. We’re going to take some time over the next two days to … celebrate where it all started and how got here,” said the post.
To prepare for the move, Mike’s Cheesesteaks is winding down its Gather GVL operations with its last day of service on July 27 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The two shops will combine into one store called Harry’s Hoagie’s Shoppe and Mike’s Cheesesteaks in early August.
