Gather GVL, an open-air food hall in Greenville’s West End, was ranked as the top food hall on the East Coast in a national vote.
It also ranked sixth nationally in the USA Today 10Best awards. According to a news release from Gather, the competition allows people to vote “for their favorite travel and leisure locations and experiences.”
Gather was one of 20 food halls nominated by a panel of experts. It opened in 2020 at 126 Augusta St. and currently is home to 13 food and beverage establishments. It features a refurbished shipping container aesthetic surrounding a central courtyard with tables and seating.
“From the first time we brainstormed the concept of Gather GVL, we thought we were creating something special that would be embraced by our entire community and become a major attraction for Greenville,” said Doug Cross, managing principal of Gather GVL. “This significant national recognition is further evidence of the power of what we’ve built together.”
