Tomahawk Processing will invest $5 million to establish meat processing operations in Laurens County, the company announced Dec. 12.
The investment at 5336 Metric Road is expected to create 26 new jobs. Tomahawk Processing is building a plant that will provide beef processing, packaging and private label packaging services.
“My partners and I are thrilled to announce that Tomahawk Processing will be locating in Laurens County, South Carolina,” said Platt Moore, managing partner of Tomahawk Processing. “We look forward to partnering with South Carolina producers to help bring local beef direct to consumers.”
Operations at the Laurens County facility are expected to be online in the first quarter of 2025.
