McBee Station in downtown Greenville has been purchased by Aston, a Charlotte-based company that specializes in shopping centers throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
The deal closed on Jan. 8. Aston already owns McDaniel Village, North Hills Shopping Center and Verdae Village in the Greenville area, and Powdersville Plaza on S.C. Highway 153 in Anderson County.
The 79,000-square-foot McBee Station includes anchor tenants Publix and Staples, as well as several local businesses. It is located where Church Street passes over East McBee Avenue, a few blocks east of Main Street.
“McBee Station is one of the premier grocery-anchored shopping centers in the Greenville market,” said George S. Dewey IV, president and CEO of Aston. “We are committed to providing a first-class shopping environment so that tenants can continue to provide essential business services to the downtown Greenville community.”
Aston purchased the property from Charlotte-based investment group Barings, which was represented by Berkeley Capital Advisors.
