It’s been about 10 months since White Wine & Butter announced it was moving out of its first home in Cartwright Food Hall in Greer.
After some time allowing fans to guess where it may open next, the word is out: White Wine & Butter is moving to Greer Golf in the fall.
For those paying close attention, it may not come as a surprise. Greer City Council recently approved a three-year catering lease between the eatery and the golf course in May 2024 to provide food and beverage services. White Wine & Butter has continued its catering business during the transition to a new location.
Since White Wine’s exodus from Cartwright Food Hall, owner and chef Mike Sibert opened Hendrix Chicken & Waffles in the space.
How the new White Wine & Butter space will differ
While some familiar favorites will still be offered, the new location includes new dishes. The restaurant will offer tableside preparation and chef collaborations.
The larger space will allow for a full-service bar offering craft cocktails, an expanded dining room and outdoor seating. Dining is open to the public and members of the course.
An exact opening date has not yet been given but is planned for fall 2024. Dining reservations will be made available upon opening.
It’s been a busy year for Sibert, who has helmed chef-curated dinners, been appointed as the Upstate’s chef ambassador for 2024, and hosted a Christmas event that included an appearance by Breaking Bad star RJ Mitte.
