Clemson-USC rivalry extends to chips
Lowcountry Kettle, a potato chip brand based out of Charleston, released limited-edition collegiate chip bags to honor both the Gamecocks and the Tigers. The launch is an exclusive partnership between the colleges and the snack purveyors, making it the very first licensed chip of the state’s universities.
Andrew Trumbull, co-founder of Lowcountry Kettle, said the partnership was a way to pay homage to the both Southern tradition, each college’s legacies and dedicated fans. Respective fans can buy either the Clemson Sea Salt or Carolina Sea Salt.
Retail orders will be available at lowcountrykettle.com or at retail locations on either school’s campus. For fans in the Upstate, Tiger-branded chips can be purchased at sporting events or Clemson Memorial Stadium.
