After seven years, White Duck Taco will close its Hampton Station location and open a new spot in downtown Greenville.
White Duck Taco first opened at Hampton Station in 2017 before opening a second location in Greenville’s Airport District in 2020. That location remains open at 301 Airport Road in Greenville.
The social media post on Oct. 9 attributed the immediate Hampton Station closure to a loss of product following Hurricane Helene.

“We had planned to roll out this news much later in the year, and keep our staff working as long as humanly possible,” the post said, “but with the last few weeks of devastating weather, it became obvious to us (after we lost all of our product) that it would take more money and effort than we could afford to ramp back up after the storm.”
The post also noted that the goal for the downtown location opening is spring 2025. An address was not given.
This announcement marks the third food and beverage concept to leave Hampton Station within the year. White Duck’s former next door neighbor, brewery Birds Fly South announced its closure one year ago on Oct. 10, 2023. In June 2024, Wandering Bard Meadery announced a fall closure.
