Fitness facility-management business The Amenity Collective acquired Advantage Sport & Fitness Inc., which supplies fitness equipment and offers facility-design services.
Advantage was founded in Ithaca, New York, in 1987. As part of a recent expansion, it opened a 51,000-square-foot warehouse in Greer in 2023.
Along with the acquisition, Advantage will partner with equipping and staffing service LIVunLTD. Advantage is the exclusive distributor of Precor Fitness Equipment on the East Coast, and also has partnerships with brands such as Peloton and Escape Fitness.
The Amenity Collective said the acquisition would make Advantage the largest distributor of fitness equipment in North America.
