In August, Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina will open Goodwill at the Trail at 115 Haywood Road. The nonprofit will split the site into three primary stores along the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.
The site was formerly the nonprofit’s Clearance Center and Career Training Center. The Training Center will be transformed into the Upstate Resource and Opportunity Center, a hub for career services focusing on tech careers.
The campus will include: Auten’s Loft, Goodwill’s name-brand resale store; SecondStory, a used-book store; and a general retail location.
As part of the development, it is in the process of building a connection to the trail with a community space that will include food trucks, bike racks and bicycle resources such as air pumps. The location is part of an extension running along Laurens Road.
