If you sometimes find it a struggle just to keep up with the needs of your home, imagine looking after around 175 residential rental properties.
That was the situation facing the Bluefield Realty Group, which manages a wide range of rental properties in the Upstate. The best solution for Bluefield, according to Hannah Quick, Bluefield property manager, was to partner with Corley Plumbing Air Electric.
The two companies found each other through word of mouth. Quick said Bluefield learned of Corley’s recently unveiled commercial program from a property-owning client.
“Those folks weren’t too happy with their property management at the time and transferred over to Bluefield,” Quick explained. “They introduced us to the membership that they had with Corley and really wanted to continue to use them as their top vendor for the plumbing and electric, so we brought on Corley and vetted them as a vendor for our plumbing, starting off.”
Since then, the scope of the partnership with Corley has grown to include not only plumbing, but HVAC and electrical services.
Of the relationship with Corley Plumbing, Quick said Bluefield could not be more pleased with the level of service their clients receive.
“They’ve been fantastic,” she said. “They’re very quick responding to our service calls, they’re contacting our tenants same-day — within a couple of hours, sometimes — to get more information on their issues and dispatching someone to go check that out.”
Beyond working directly with Bluefield’s customers, Quick said Corley provides other invaluable services to the property-management firm, as well.
“They are providing us with great insights and estimates,” she said, “and they are currently our top vendor for both plumbing and electric, which has been great.”
It’s a relationship that’s been beneficial to both partners, according to Lyn Ludlam, Corley commercial sales division account manager.
“I set up Bluefield for their rental property and invited them to use us for more customers, and they have been using us since,” Ludlam said. “Hannah is a great partner. We are currently working with them to be able to provide cost-saving solutions for their customers, including preventive maintenance as well as other new services such as water filtration.”
