John Constantine, CEO of ARCpoint Franchise Group, said the days of heading to your local physician’s office for medical tests only to get raveled in insurance red tape are over.
The company is leading a nationwide revolution, he said, in medical testing that’s based in Greenville. As such, the company wanted to establish its flagship center in the heart of Greenville at 101 North Main where they plan on training franchisees. The facility takes over for the old iStore in that location and will feature three floors — the top two for staff and labs and the bottom as a patient testing area. Constantine is hoping to have the facility completed by April.

“We have a lot of pride in this city,” Constantine said. He said the company has grown exponentially since they started offering COVID-19 tests, but they offer walk-ins for any type of diagnostic test.
While the company started as a testing facility for drug and alcohol addictions, Constantine said they’ve pivoted their business model to be more client-focused. As such, they’re looking to make the waiting rooms and testing rooms to be as friendly and inviting as possible, eschewing sterile whites for brighter colors, wood grains and tones. He hopes to cap this off with staff that have been selected for their positive bedside manner and friendly demeanor.
Constantine wants to dispense with the problems created by insurance red tape by doing away with the process altogether. That means it will all be direct pay. However, he believes the money saved from avoiding the inundation of paperwork can make the process more efficient so he can work on hiring the best people and making the facilities the best. He said the tests run $50 to a few hundred dollars, and there are about 8,000 different tests available. He’s also thinking about experimenting with different services, like offering coffee and tea.
