Ten at the Top’s Upstate Entrepreneur Ecosystem director Erin Ouzts will speak at the virtual ESHIP Summit, hosted by the Kauffman Foundation, on Sept. 15, 16 and 29.
Ouzts will speak on the second day of the conference. Her 45-minute workshop, “Upstate South Carolina: Connect, Learn, Empower: Creating an Ecosystem of Trust Across 10 Counties,” will cover how the Upstate Entrepreneur Ecosystem formed to connect entrepreneurs to resources to help them achieve success.
“Attending the ESHIP Summit the past two years has been more than inspirational and educational,” said Ouzts. “The best part has been learning from others, hearing their stories and bringing best practices back to the Upstate. Being able to tell our story highlights to the world the important things our entrepreneur support providers are doing to help all types of Upstate entrepreneurs be more successful faster. This year, I am most excited that it will be easier for anyone to attend and learn since it is virtual.”
The event expects 700 participants from nearly all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and over 10 countries to participate in this year’s virtual summit, which will cover topics including key aspects of entrepreneurial ecosystem building, why entrepreneurship matters to local economies and how ecosystem building differs from traditional approaches to economic development and entrepreneurial support.
