McMillan Pazdan Smith received American Institute of Architects South Carolina’s Firm Award, the organization’s highest honor for an architecture firm, at the 2024 AIA SC Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration Oct. 25 at Avenue in Greenville.

“AIA awards are carefully structured and highly competitive. We are thrilled to share this honor publicly in the hopes it will continue to inspire the next generation of architects to aim high and continue to elevate our profession in South Carolina and beyond,” said Brad Smith, founding principal of McMillan Pazdan Smith. “MPS has focused on serving amazing clients with integrity and bringing tangible, positive improvements to communities since 1955. While our talent, reach, and service offerings continue to grow, our purpose of creating lasting impact for the good of all has never been stronger.”
Before bestowing the Firm Award, AIA South Carolina’s board of directors considered each firm’s body of work, its contribution to the profession and service in the community. Since the honor’s inception 31 years ago, 13 architecture firms have received the award, which is not distributed each year.
