New visuals from Miami-based design firm Plusurbia Design have been revealed for how Greenville’s Interstate 385 corridor might soon be transformed into the “Greenville Gateway,” a major new draw for residents and tourists alike.
Back in March 2022, Plusurbia initially revealed a vision of the area that includes East North Street, Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville County Law Enforcement Center, Lavinia Street, East Park Avenue and Pettigru Historic District. The plan shows pedestrian-friendly walkways, green spaces, mixed-use development, restaurants and entertainment venues.
The new renderings, which took into accounts hundreds of responses from community stakeholders during information gathering sessions held over the prior year, offer the clearest picture yet of how the area might soon be transformed into Greenville’s latest cultural and community hub.
