The Commerce Club announced March 7 it has named Alex Darrington as its executive chef.
He has been with the club since June 2021 and previously served as a sous chef.
“Every kid who goes to culinary school dreams of being an executive chef,” said Darrington. “It’s amazing to now be able to lead a team and to teach them what I know.”
Darrington is a graduate of the Culinary Institute at Trident Technical College and has studied under the head chefs at Rick Irwin’s Nantucket Seafood and Larkins on the River in Greenville, and High Cotton in Charleston.
