Habitat for Humanity Greenville County opened a new ReStore, a retail location that accepts donations and sells merchandise, in Greenville on Dec. 17.
The 21,000-square-foot store at 1818 Woodruff Road joins two other locations at:
- 3033 Wade Hampton Blvd., Taylors
- 1659 Woodruff Road, Greenville
Proceeds from the first two ReStores have generated around one-third of the local organization’s annual income, said Habitat Greenville President and CEO Monroe Free.
“We can sponsor the build of six houses, just from the revenue from the ReStores,” Free said.
From its inception in 1985 to May 2021, Habitat Greenville has completed the construction of 383 homes. In 2022, the organization completed 14 homes and 55 repair projects.
