A new Harris Teeter grocery store will open its doors in early 2023 at the Hudson Corners shopping center in Greer.
The plans from Centennial American Properties (CAP) will also bring a new fuel center to the parking lot. Developer Jason Tankersley of CAP said work on the site will begin next month, starting with the demolition of the adjacent McDonalds building to make room for the gas station and to provide additional parking spots to meet Harris Teeter’s parking requirements.
Located at 2105 Old Spartanburg Rd., the shopping center was once the site of a Harris Teeter location that closed in 2001, later becoming a FoodSmart before sitting vacant for years.
“We’ll be taking down everything but the small shops of the shopping center that exist now,” Tankersley said.
Those shops will be undergoing what Tankersley called a “big facelift.” The shops will be upgraded to Class A standards.
